I'm straight and have no desire to date women or even sleep with them, but girl-on-girl porn makes me hot too. I think it's because it's hotter to fantasize about things (or people) you haven't done and I've checked off most of the standard straight-sex boxes.

I suspect this because I used to fantasize about this really hot bartender I knew. After years of that, we finally ended up hooking up. It was very hot, but I wasn't able to fantasize about him afterward for a long time because I'd already "been there."
