Anyone have a suggestion for a good KCrew alternative to swimwear?

I'm absolutely certain wore JCrew all through law school and probably undergrad, and I was a size 10 on the bottom then. I still am, in fact I'm more toned now, and nothing in JCrew looks good even though the tag suggests it would fit. (crotch is tight, thighs pull, buttcrack shows, etc)
Really? I find the sizes have gotten larger. I was cleaning out my closet at the end of the summer and I found a pair of jcrew shorts that were size 8, and they were too tight. My new jcrew pants are size 2.

I miss old J.Crew, with jeans and well cut basic tees and simple blazers and sheath dresses. Now everything is covered in sequins, or else that weird shade of baby shit chartreuse, or else see through slub cotton with rosettes all over it. Dammit, I just want a mid-length, long-sleeved, scoopnecked sweater!
I feel the same way as I did when gap changed its fit model for jeans. Sad.

Because she ruined a perfectly good store with her touchable whimsy what-not.
