I was once 34 and single and when I look back now, I feel like I didn't appreciate my life nearly as much as I should have. Now I'm 43, with two amazing kids but much more difficult issues than the things that kept me up at night 9 years ago, mostly in terms of career balance and marital discord.
Words out of my mouth. Enjoy your life. Travel. Meet people. Enjoy your career - build your career. Know you you are. You can fall in love at any age and you can have kids at any age these days (within reason of course). You only live once and it really is so short and 34 is so young so enjoy it to your fullest. Marriage and family is not all it's cracked up to be. I know that it is hard being single and wanting something else, I've been there too, but if you're doing what you enjoy and enjoying life to its fullest you will meet the right person and your life will hopefully fall into a place close to where you envision it.
