Me too.
I was in all the gifted programs at school, went to an Ivy League university, yadda yadda, and I'm happy and doing fine.
My husband failed HS biology (which is my area of expertise, so we laugh about it), went to a small college, yadda yadda, and is happy and doing fine.
I guess my point is, while I want my child to be challenged and excited about learning, I also want her to be a happy, successful, and well rounded individual. There's lots of ways to get there-- whether she's "gifted" or not.
