In essence you're exchanging your email address and the fact that you're a parent for free 2-day shipping on orders and returns with no minimum dollar amount. But it's free to sign up. In effect you get all the benefits of Amazon Prime without paying $79/year for it. You have to order a certain amount to keep it active, but that's easy to do. And while I assumed they'd be selling my email address to every parent focused marketing company, I really haven't noticed any increase in spam or junk mail...

Could someone explain to me in nutshell what Amazon Prime or Amazon Mom are and if I should join? I mean, I know what they are, just looking for real info/advice that is not from a marketing piece from the company. I'm always weary of those kinds of things and haven't joined, but I order from Amazon a fair bit.
I have a three year old and am due this fall with our second if that makes a difference (re: amazon mom). TIA!
I pay $79/yr for Amazon Prime and (most)everything comes to my door within one or 2 days for "free." Amazon has also added some "free" movie content for Prime members, but I haven't looked into that. If you buy alot from Amazon, it's totally worth the fee.
