My kids are 3 and 5, and while I don't have nearly as much time to spend on my "hobby" as I would like, there is still some left over. Of course, money is another matter entirely - the more I get into it the more expensive it seems to get. But I can combine this with parenting - I am now at the point where I can take pretty decent pictures of my kids. I have taken a few classes and joined a couple of photo sharing websites for information, forums and to help me learn.
Before my kids were born I was also taking Spanish at NOVA, but that has been put on hold. I would like to pick it back up at some point. But for now I am also trying to stay in shape (harder after two, and closer to 40), so my few free evenings are spent at the gym. Not sure if that counts as a "hobby" though...

I need some real hobbies too. Preferably some that do not involve volunteering at my children's schools.
I wish I lived on the water so I could windsurf or paddleboard or do something fun and athletic.
How about kayaking on the Potomac?
