Wow, I should have known better than to open this thread. My baby brother, who is 28, has a nasty heroin addiction. He's overdosed several times and "died" on my parents living room floor. Our family is torn apart. I cannot even imagine, I cannot begin to fathom, what we would feel like if some cunts on a forum were writing "so what" and "he asked for it" and "didn't have any talent anyway". This is a goddamn human being! And as far as talentless goes, what the fuck is your talent, wasting oxygen? I simply can't believe how low some of you are. Revolting.

Oh, and by the way, think twice before you say this kind of shit to people in person. You never know what is going on in someone's family. The next bitch who talks about how she deserves it to my face is getting the stupid slapped out of him / her.

Yes, agree with PP. This is not supposed to be a comparison of the value/gravity of this news item with what's happened in Norway or elsewhere in the world. Clearly, there are many bad/sad/other things going on, that's understood.

It is very sad news.

There's a difference between being unsurprised and a complete lack of empathy. Was she a drug addict? Yes. Did she have some advantages that others didn't? Maybe. Did she engage in self destructive and provoctive behavior? Certainly. That doesn't make me feel any better that she died. I'm sad for her and her family.

Sad. But Adele pretty much stole her thunder. I think she was already over career wise, too bad she could get her personal life together.

"Who cares?" Her family, her friends, and people who have been touched by her music. Also, 12:47, you cared enough to open the thread and respond.

She was very talented (to 13:00, have you listened to any of her songs other than those that played on mainstream radio?). However, as a PP pointed out, her death would have been sad even if she hadn't been talented. It's sad she was never able to beat her addiction and get her life in order.
