Another thing, you know how the county makes builders do a few units for low income people? I think that there should be mandatory fractions of developments set aside for disabled people, that is one first floor MBR.

There is more to assisted living communities than being able to get into the shower. Yes, but often, a family can offset costs by hiring someone to come in if the physical plant (home) is handicapped accessible. I just makes sense to have one MBR that is handicapped accessible on the main floor. Not just for the elderly, but also for a handicapped person.

Yes, they did. The bathrooms could use updating at some point but overall the house is in great shape.

It is a very spacious ranch/rambler - the rooms are larger and sunnier than you typically see in a one-story house.

Glad to hear this sentiment as we just built a house with a first floor master bedroom (it works for us now, but wouldn't have when we had babies) and I was worried that it might have trouble at resale because of it. Guess not!

to 10:03 My mother is in crazy debt and claims she will not rely on social security (govt welfare) in her retirement years. She is just really bad w/ money and has no retirement fund. A lot was lost (real estate and a pension in a divorce and she was left with the big house that she took money out on and then it was foreclosed on. She has no savings and she can not pay a single bill in full. She says she will work and no one will have to take care of her. She claims she will go to her native country for medical treatment if necessary. The other thing is my grandfather lived many years and the last 20 he was mentally not always in the present and needed care. I have only one sibling and Im hoping she''ll step up for my father because both my parents are living pay check to paycheck at age 55 and 56. It is really sad to seebecuse at one point they had multiple rentals , successful businesses , and made six figure incomes
