Two IVF pregnancies so dates certain. 1st time - levels higher than average by 30% = girl. 2nd time - levels lower than average by 30% = boy.

But my morning sickness was much worse with this boy pregnancy.

Why does everyone even know these numbers? When I peed on a stick and got a positive, I made an appt. for 10 weeks and that was that. I can understand if you are having fertility treatments but why else is this # useful?

Yes I thought I was having twin girls again, just one single girl this time but HCG levels were very high.

Mine were very high - so high that there is a DCUM thread somewhere about how completely panicked I was that it might have been twins. Turns out it was just one girl - she's now 15 months. Never had a boy, so I can't compare.

Mine were very high (can't remember exact numbers), had a girl. Also had HG, so there's that.

Not sure what the numbers were with the first pregnancy. 2nd pregnancy, they were in the 140,000s at 6 weeks, which is high. Both singleton pregnancies, both boys. Had way more nausea 2nd time.

Interesting. I was the OP for this thread and my higher than average HcG levels did in fact turn out to be a girl.

I had really low levels that stopped doubling before 6 weeks. Girl.

Anonymous wrote:With my first the numbers were extremely high (don't remember them off hand, but doctor said they were more typical of a twin pregnancy even though it was a singleton). That pregnancy was a boy.

This pregnancy my numbers have been average. Morning sickness has been worse. Don't know the gender yet.

Surprised to see this post resurrected. I had originally posted above, and thought I'd update that this pregnancy (with much lower HcG levels) is the same gender -- another boy.
