McDonough (GU) is a very well regarded business school in the Northeast. Great placements. If you want to work in NYC, DC, Boston, etc much better

Does your kid LOVE either of these schools? If the kid loves Emory, then ED there. If he can get the SAT up over 1500, I'd guess he has a fair shot. Not sure why ED2 would make sense.

If the kid LOVES Georgetown, you can EA, but I'd also EA to at least a couple of less selective schools (Pitt, which like both Emory and Georgetown, is in a city, could be a good safety. Maybe also Tulane and Miami could be good safety/targets.) EA at Georgetown is tougher than RD, so make sure he's prepared for a rejection, and knows that his application will be reconsidered. A deferral at Georgetown is not the soft denial it is at many other places.

Seems to me that Georgetown and Emory have very different feels/ student cultures. I would think about fit over prestige here.

More than 40% enrolled freshmen did not submit a standardized test score. The ACT and SAT submission rate are double counted if one submit both, which historically 15% do.
