Now, the deciding vote on the council is going to be significantly to the left of where it has been.
Hopefully, JLG is smart enough to know that you can probably raise UMC taxes to deal with our tough fiscal situation and not see a bunch of flight SO LONG AS you don’t ruin the schools and police.

On a serious note, she is going to have to switch up on some of her promises so perhaps she will not be that bad.
I don't think we'll have tax increases. I also don't think she'll even attempt more than like 5% of her platform. If you actually look at her record on the council, it's mainstream. She's Bowser with younger, more progressive rhetoric. That's it.
My main concern is that she will do a bad job hiring the team around her. Also I think she's arrogant, and will be defensive when criticized, which I think is a bad combo in an executive.
But Duffie is a do nothing grifter. It was two bad options and I think JLG has *slightly* more potential to be an ok mayor.

Yeah, about ten of you are going to do this. Crybabies. Like this mayor will be any different from previous ones.
I don’t care if we’re the only ones. Love living here but done paying exorbitant income taxes.
Then move to Missouri or Arkansas. The taxes are low there but the quality of life is more your speed.
