It's really not that juicy. We were talking about a hypothetical situation and then a version of that situation ended up as a post on here but written in a way that made it more inflammatory. Jeff eventually outed it as a troll who has posted other troll posts (not the infamous ones). I asked her and that's how she told me when she's bored, she gets entertainment from posting these things and seeing how people react.

Can you say which posts these were? Sometimes it seems obvious that the poster is just being inflammatory. Sad that this is her entertainment sometimes.

This was years ago. Most of them were about relationship scenarios where a husband would do something ridiculous and OP would spend her time commenting trying to defend him. I think there were a few kid behavior related posts. She got outed because of how she responded to people, less so the scenarios themselves.

Same here. I have a very low tolerance for stupidity and have to bite my tongue when I encounter it in person. Mercifully, that doesn't happen often.

I think it is just a handful of people being mean, and they aren't as free during the weekdays but all over the site on the weekends.

I've always found that many people love bullies. It's why I wasn't as surprised by the last election.

I think that is why they are posting here, they don’t have much contact with people in real life. A lot of people with mental illness on here who have probably driven everyone away.

I deeply believe that in so many of our face-to-face IRL interactions we only see a part of a person's belief system and that they hide or curate the rest. It is both sad and terrifying sometimes but I really do believe that an anonymous board is where you see who human beings really are.
