I just went and watched the play on NFHS Network. An absolutely perfect strike. To make that shot with less than two minutes to go in a state championship game, it's one of those things you dream about growing up.
It was heartbreaking to see the other side's reaction, though. I guess that's the beauty of sports.

I remember a game when my kid was only u9 or u10 where a kid on the other team scored multiple times like that. He had apparently mastered how to curve the ball in just the right way. I guess I was witnessing greatness and didn’t know it? I think the club was either LMVSC or ABGC. Not even top teams. Wonder where that kid is now.
Significantly less impressive on a small sided field with an 8 year old goal keeper. Not to mention there was no state championship on the line. But whatever.
