man there is a lot going on here. First figure out if the boyfriend is being controlling and getting mad that she isn't available or if SHE is the one who wants to be in constant contact with the boyfriend. Either way it's a problem.

Who pays for the phone? Because if it's you, she's not going to be on her phone all summer unless you keep paying for it, which I would not do. If she wants a phone for the rest of the summer, she gets a job to pay the bill.

She could go to the manager with a plan to eliminate phone use during her shifts: locking it in her glove box, for example. Or if there are lockers for employees, turning it off and leaving it in the locker. That's probably her only chance.

Well apparently she doesn't care about pleasing her manager. She should apologize, tell manager she'll keep phone in car, and beg forgiveness.

If she was a real people pleaser she would want to please the people that hired her and are giving her money.

She can turn the phone off or exercise some self control.

You need to work with her on not being such a people pleaser! Ffs, she needs to learn to say no. Especially to men.

Her phone needs to stay in her bag during her shift. If she can't do that, it needs to stay in the car. If there's an emergency someone can calm the restaurant.

It's not just talking on her phone, phones are dirty and it's inappropriate to have someone touching a phone while handling food and plates. Talking on the phone all the time definitely is not acceptable for pretty much any job.

Tell her to apologize and ask for another chance. If not, she finds a new job or no spending money.

Let her get fired and then insist she find another job, either paid or volunteer. Better to learn the lesson now while she doesn't have real bills to pay.
