Also, just how cold and rainy is it? Some reviews make it seem really bad so I just want to be sure I’m thinking this all the way through. I know it won’t be warm and that’s fine, but I don’t want to be soaking wet all the time.

Have you done a cruise before? I would say that there are cruise people and non-cruise people (we fit this category). Our only cruise was to Alaska (NCL). Hated it. Wished we had done a land based vacation so we could enjoy Alaska without being stuck on a ship. The teens were okay; they would have preferred a warmer cruise if we had to go on one. The teens found each other, and hung out together most of the time. Since we did not get them Wi-Fi, at least they couldn't be on their phones for the duration of the trip.

We did not want a huge 2500 pax ship and were looking for a little more upscale without breaking the bank for a family of four adults. Also liked their approach of more time in ports. Decided on a 10-day Alaska cruise from Vancouver on Azamara Pursuit next week. Our very first cruise.
pax?

We're going on Uncruise America to get closer to nature.
