Paper save-the-date, paper invite with link to wedding website, which should have all wedding logistics on it, in greater detail than a paper invitation can provide

If the registry includes a link for sending money, it should be the last thing on that page. Show a tiny bit of restraint, please

I don't think it's tacky. People live around the world and an online wedding invitation can be received by anyone. As a sender, you can then also see if it was read.

We book our flight tickets online, shop online, what's the point of sending invitations to addresses that may not be up to date? The point of an invitation is to reach the invitee, no matter how. Maybe some here would demand personal deliveries on a horseback.

Society is going down the drain. Of course a printed, mailed invitation is expected for a wedding.
