lol. Yes! Glad my son has a girlfriend with an active IG so I can grab all his senior year event pics. Not sure if other boys are similar, but he is fail at getting copies of the photos.

I really doubt that. Someone that focused on photos would respond to the text saying she used a DSLR and needs a little time.

Please ask. I wouldn’t mind and I get busy with other stuff.

If the latter, sometimes they are not just ready to share until she downloads the raw files to her computer, does something with them in imaging software, creates files that everyone can use and puts them all somewhere where other people can download them. It can take a bit of time and she maybe hasn't gotten around to it yet.

My kid went to prom and I got nada. One mom texted me photos a week later and I was grateful.

I assume you know some of the other parents in the group as well?

I’d group message all of the ones you know (including the mom you are referring to) and share the photos YOU took (ideally, a link to an online album) with the message “”Hi all, thought I’d share these prom pics! It was chaotic and not sure if most got pics. Please feel free to add any of your own!” or something like that.

It may prompt “photo mom” to add hers, and if it doesn’t- hopefully others will share as well, so that you get a few more.

I agree with others saying that maybe “photo mom”’s pics didn’t turn out great. Which is fine- it happens.

Your daughter should ask, not you. My daughter has been the one who’s shared Hoco and other dance photos with me. I’ve never reached out to other parents. She’s should ask the other girl to get them from her mom or whoever took them.

I would ask again. And it’s a good lesson not to count on others who say they’ll just take the photos/videos and share (if you have another option— maybe you didn’t this time). At one of my kid’s events, they told the parents up front— no need to take videos or photos— the organizers would record/photograph it all and share. Well, they missed some kids entirely, then shared a very incomplete version of the video. I wish I’d just captured it myself.
