Yes, and the interior like built in shelves, bench. The side entrance micro porch on our house is wasted space. Already has a roof at least

Yeah, there are so many threads like this. We added a screen porch to a larger reno project a few years back and I was also shocked at how pricey it was. People post here ever year with sticker shock.

$100k to take a deck and make it a screen porch is insane.

Right but surely so does Florida? I'm thinking like a square aluminum frame where the roof would just be retractable screening. I always thought our main problem was having a roof that could hold snow. But I guess, obviously, I don't really know.
