My doctor brought it up today when I told her that I've been having trouble accessing the patch, and that the last time I picked it up I seemed to get a generic that is not working for whatever reason.

Anyone with thoughts, experience on it, etc, please weigh in ...

Thanks for this! Would the same mail order places ship it? I wonder if we're all having issues because of quality control, shipping, temperatures, etc? It's concerning. I would love to see an investigative journalist blow this story up.

Meanwhile we're all going to start (very air conditioned) "meth" labs where we mix our own estrogen concentrates onto carefully chosen sticky tapes and make our own superior versions. Where are my bio and chem major ladies at? 🤣

Yes. In fact I have never used a mail order pharmacy before, but will likely be using it for the FemRing because it is not a preferred drug with my insurance plan, and it is a lot cheaper to get it by mail order pharmacy.

CVS Woodley Park just filled mine same-day over the weekend. Previously had a hard time there like everywhere else I'd tried.

Has it been rough those 1 - 2 weeks? If you take progesterone, do you need to stop that while you wait for the patch refill?

After more than a year of constant searching, switching pharmacies, etc etc... I've decided to switch to the estrogen gel and give it a try. Why not, at this point? Feels like it's all a crap shoot.

I participated in the last thread about this and it's concerning that it's still ongoing.

I get dotti and I actually like that one. I think it's working but like someone stated in a prior thread, they feel like they "run out" on me before the designated change time.

I’m also having trouble finding the patch. Pharmacies say there is a shortage now that demand has increased after label warnings removed.

Now I’m irritated and hot! Why is there no press (or pressure on companies) about this??

I meant to add that this was after failing at CVS and Amazon to get my normal patches. I kept popping into CVS and they finally had random generics. I don’t think they work.

I always get generic and it has always worked.

My most recent batch was a bit weird size wise and the adhesive is not great, but it is working.

Ugh. I'm this PP, and have an update. I'd no longer say "it is working." I'm waking up hot and having to turn on the fan. First time in over two years since going on HRT.

Same. I wake up drenched in sweat and then freezing cold after I change pajamas. DH says even though I complain of being cold in bed I feel like a furnace when I snuggle close to get his body heat. So frustrating.
