Another thought: Fusion's tuition is so high that boarding school becomes a viable alternative to consider. Boarding schools more often start in 6th grade, but some start earlier.

But you will be successful finding tutors if you want to homeschool and be the primary person, but you need support. There are lots of homeschooling resources in this area and groups.
I was thinking 3-4 hours a day, my child is in the 1st grade. Perhaps a retired sped teacher, or a part timer from the school system. I can't be the primary person because I have to work full time, as alas, we're not very wealthy.
