Banks are "guaranteeing" a baseline level of trading and strong-arming retail investor funds to hold SpaceX on their portfolios. There's only so much demand for satellites and only so much revenue (data centers in space is a pipe dream). So while the pre-IPO investors cash out, everyone is holding SpaceX paper, which can catastrophically go down. Anthropic and OpenAI are coming as well, but I don't think they have such extortionate arrangements. There's probably a crash in the offing but there's no hiding place (at least for most of us).


Why would say a small cap index, or an international index hold it? Is it going to be in the S&P500 immediately? Unless it is, I can’t think of any fund I hold where it could plausibly be included.

He canceled USAID and doomed tens of thousands of the most vulnerable people on earth to death, including newborns infected with HIV. Without treatment, life expectancy is less than a year.

He stopped clinical trials cold at NIH, and left patients with implanted devices in their body, unable to seek care at the NIH Clinical Center to take them out. Other patients were on trial drugs and had to stop cold turkey, which some drugs is incredibly dangerous.

He caused confidential information about Americans to be mishandled and possibly stolen for commercial purposes.

He pollutes and damages surrounding neighborhoods of his Space X launchpad and has consistently rebuffed resident complaints.

SHAME ON YOU. I wish you the worst.



I know for a fact some of the above is exaggerated or simply false. Last time I looked we are almost $40 Trillion in debt. This level of debt and spending is unsustainable. The consequences of this debt will make DOGE cuts look like nursery school that will impact every level of American society and also make us way to vulberable to foreign adversaries who hold our debt. Some painful choices have to made and cutting USAID was a great start. At least we finally have a POTUS who is willing to start making those tough choices.

I agree, he admitted failure at cutting any government spending or having any idea how it works. I'm sure one day he will express his feelings on the thousands of Africans who died because of his DOGE antics.


LOL. He was successful at cutting hundreds of billions of wasteful govt spending. Yes, he didn't cut a trillion. There is so much waste and fraud in the govt but it was a good start. USAID was full of waste and fraud. Besiders, why can't China take care of the Africans? The Chicoms certainly exploit them enough.

+1 Our country could use 10000 more entrepreneurs like Elon Musk. Innovators, Disrupters, Job Creators. They keep America at the tip of the spear in Innovation and start companies that employ tens of thousands of people, who pay taxes to the govt. Unfortunately, the govt wastes those taxes on useless social programs that have heavy fraud and abuse.

Agreed. He could have bought a few mega yachts, founded some pointless charity, and retired into a rich useless life. Instead, he continues to push the envelope in critical areas of modern life - space access, transportation, communications, and computing.

You may not like his politics, but at least he's taking risks and being rewarded. Most of the other billionaires don't even care anymore.


He’s terrified of death like Thiel, they are trying to advance science to extend their lives and need money for that. That’s why he had that ridiculous Tesla pay package.

He just chooses cool sounding projects because they are easy to hype and bilk the government. Go read up on Boring for example. #flamethrower

This so reminds me of 1999 when there were a ton of IPOs at lofty valuations. Anthropic also going public at an insane valuation. So many other similarities to 1999 in this market and the near risk-free 30-yr and 10-yr treasury yields just passed 5% and 4.5% respectively. Be careful. This tech bull market can't last forever and there will be a lot of retail bag holders when the dust settles. I would be taking some off the table and locking in those gains but that's just me.
