My DE is turning 5 soon and has been asking for a sibling since she was 2. About a year and a half ago, I conceived spontaneously, but it ended in a MMC.

At this point, I would consider using a DE, but my husband is hesitant. He has suggested asking my sister to be the donor, which I feel somewhat uncomfortable about.

I’d really appreciate hearing what others would do in a similar situation, or how you have navigated these decisions.

You feel uncomfortable because it’s very wrong. So entitled of your DH to just assume he’s entitled to demand this of your sister. Horrible.

Asking is not entitlement?

Same.

Me again. If I were to go donor egg, I'd want an unrelated donor unless somehow I had a deceased sister who had left frozen eggs behind. It would be too weird for me and my sister for my child to be biologically hers. My husband and I strongly considered adoption when I had trouble conceiving a second but then I got pregnant.
