November birthday U10 on B team this year. Repeating at U10, moved to A team. Joining his school friends, so happy.

Current team has 2 kids joining him next year and 2 repeating on U10 B team. All are moving to their real SY. One August birthday current team member is being allowed to play up to his actual SY next year. Makes sense to me.

I think it's not the best strategy but hey. U11 girls. All of the top 2 team girls that were impacted whether currently in 4th or 5th grade are staying with the teams and going to u12 next year. All of the 3rd team kids even the current 5th grader are repeating U11.

Current u15 9th grader with September bday. DD will move up with her team to U16.

2 kids-
Older (boy) stayed with club. He is repeating U13.
Daughter unfortunately is unable to play her new age group at her current club due to lack of players. Searching for a new club or trying to play up. Neither is a great feeling.

November birthday. Repeating the age group. Moving from one ECNL age group team to the other ECNL age group team with the opportunity to guest play with the older/former team on an as-needed basis. These teams are in the two oldest age groups, so repeating the age group is probably beneficial for college recruiting purposes.

It’s not arguing about why or how, but just sharing actual results. I find it very interesting.

Our club's (and city's) highest level for girls is ECNL-RL and my DD is an October birthday. They've gone to regionals three years in a row and nationals once. Club announced everyone would be according to the calendar to start and then offered a few the opportunity to play "up" and stay with their team. Nothing was said to our daughter.

She got two ECNL offers from other clubs in our neighboring city so that's what we're doing along with at least 4 other girls from her team.

U16b Nov birthday, staying with the team and playing up next year. Is it for him? For the club? Regardless its what he wanted. We aren't shooting for college ball.

2 others dropped from his team to the lower age team. This is MLSN AD.

Objectively this age group change is horrifically disadvantaging kids on the new younger end of the age group for older ages. Many demotions for kids moving into the next age group. I get it sorta but also feels a bit uncreative and like hitting the easy button.

We had 5 kids who were affected in our U11 top team of the club. One will play up with U12 top team next year. Three are going into the U11 A team. One is being sent into the U11 B team.

This is what I assumed would happen. Its much easier to do nothing. Then fight it out with parents and players individually.

Doing nothing would be keeping birth year. Didn't happen.
