My 8th grader has fairly expressed not knowing what triggered it is its own level of stress wondering and imagining what it could have been. There is a rumor that a kid brought a gun to school, but it is also unconfirmed.

How is this possible with metal detectors?

LOL, the metal detectors are a joke.

+1

Their only accomplishment is lining someone’s pockets with all that wasted money.

Why is there so little communication coming out of Longfellow?

I think some kids were trying to get away from having to take SOLs or something absurd.

The problem with that at Longfellow is there were no SOLs on Friday.

Arlington News posted about a similar situation where a middle school and elementary school went into lockdown because of an "outside threat" via a call to the school. I think some kids were trying to get away from having to take SOLs or something absurd.

Last week, northern CA went into a similar situation where multiple districts and schools went into lockdown because kids phoned multiple area schools and made threats to get postponement from APs. It worked!

It's kinda nuts what kids do to push out the inevitable.

Anybody know what the outside threat was?
