Decided again going to school in Houston. Waitlisted Emory and Duke. I really don't think that she is going to get off the Duke waitlist because someone from her school already did so it seems highly unlikely that they will take another.

Mainstream interests. Hoping for a classic college experience: dating, going out, etc. Neutral on needing big game days or Greek life if there are other social things to do but will participate if these things exist. Coming from an intense high school where she studied hard for 4 yrs. Very strong student. Diversity is good.
Very set on pre-med. Parents are both practicing physicians so she has her eyes open to the profession.

Yikes

We dont know if OP is a freshman or transfer admit, but considering the date, probably transfer.
Freshman
Emory- 8.5%, 1520/34 , 67% submit scores
Vandy- 4.1%, 1540/34, 51% submit scores
Transfer
Emory- 16%
Vandy- 23%
Both are hyper selective but Emory is a harder transfer acceptance.
