Better pick a different Dem or it is over.

What’s wrong with the Democratic candidates for Governor of Maine?

Nothing! Several good options. PP was probably confusing with senate (where we also have a good Dem)

Xavier Becerra, Tom Steyer or Steve Hilton?

Hilton leads and Becerra is next, Steyer third. Only half the vote counted so far.

I’m guessing Becerra and maybe Hilton as the rest of the dems split off. Becerra will sweep the general election for governor against Steyer or Hilton. Becerra has the Hispanic vote, democratic war chest, and independents/centrist democrats. Progressives don’t trust Steyer and don’t want an old billionaire. No one wants a Republican other than MAGAs. If Mahon and Porter weren’t in the race Steyer might have been the second place holder but he wouldn’t beat Becerra in the general.

Three other Democrats have conceded former U.S. Rep. Katie Porter, and moderates San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan and former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

They waited too long to concede and drop out. Too little, perhaps too late.

No, Michigan will not see that.
