I agree that Ithaca, LMU, and Emerson are good ones to look at and all three have reputations for strong programs.

I second this. My kid did a summer in L.A. and has run his own shows, worked on other friends' shows, etc.

Easier to get into: High Point. Excellent facilities and program if you know your kid is looking for practical production skills.
