It's only been about 1 year since my mom passed but we talk about her constantly. Probably too much. I try to keep my dad off the topic but he will start going down memory lane and retells the same stories about her over and over again. It would be hard to imagine the situations where it's never mentioned. There's no right or wrong way, just that everyone is different.
