Oh my. Cross reference this with the “would you marry someone who only makes n” thread and reconsider what you expect from teachers in a HCL area.

I’m OP and less concerned about the retiree with a higher income spouse than the single with a limited income. It would be nice if they were comped for making the effort to come and see their former students.

Thanks to all who answered and made it clear there’s no standard on this.


Lol yea around here we like to keep things about as clear as mud and with the consistency of a trail walk.

I'd run away from any school that charges its own teachers to see a school performance.
