It’s actually supposed to be fantastic. But what reviewer is going to say that?? Are you kidding. No one is going to publish a fawning movie about an accused pedophile.

It has the sheen of a generic biopic. What about it screams "fantastic" to you? lol

We saw an early screening last night. The end edgy and music were great. The story avoided any abuse other than blaming the dad for a lot.

I actually think the same.
I want to see the movie, Not sure I want to pay current movie theater prices, plus fees for online booking though. We'll see.

Strongly disagree. There was the kid whose parents got a confidential settlement - the one whose father allegedly places a recorder in the bedroom. Of course that means the father basically thought his child was at risk and still did it.

But seriously, watch the documentary. It's shocking and very, very frank.

That man's estate will never get a single penny from me.

There was 3 kids he paid off.

Hes a pedo. Anyone buying a ticket to this trash supports child sex abuse.

Which reviews are you looking at? On Rotten Tomatoes it currently has 39% favorable reviews from critics and 95% favorable audience reviews. People are raving about the music and Jaafar Jackson's portrayal of his uncle. Not surprising that the critics are out of touch with what people actually like.

So shocked this was made after the documentary and subsequent Oprah interviews with the kids he abused. Very, very strange. I can understand still enjoying his songs. But I don't understand wanting to watch a movie about him as a person when the most important part of who he was is just....omitted and ignored.

First accusation the insurance company settled under Michael’s objection. Grand jury didn’t see enough evidence to charge. The kid left the country left to get away from his parents and wouldn’t come back for the second trial because they wanted him to say things not true.

Second trial the jury found the families unbelievable since they tried to get money from other celebrities and welfare fraud.

Pretty sure he wasn’t a pedo.

I like to think I can separate the artist from the art. But that's just me.

+1
I cannot imagine seeing the movie developed by his estate much less paying to do so.
That man's estate will never get a single penny from me.

He was 100% a kid toucher! A gross child molester. With a staff of enablers getting him access to kids and covering things up for him.

I hate that I think about that whenever I hear his music out in the world, but I’m not in denial about it like some folks.
