I get it, but think about how far we’ve devolved as a society that we are offended by a call from a friend or relative.

I’m Gen X, so I remember life before cell phones when your landline would ring and you’d stay on the phone for hours.

We’ve really lost an important connection when we shifted to cell phones and the internet.

Remember cords that stretched so far that you could walk from the kitchen to the living room? We talked for hours back then and it was wonderful!

I agree! Texting is so time consuming because it drags out over a longer time to say even less and you don’t have your hands free and can’t look away from your screen. People need to grow up and get over their anxieties about phone calls. Just don’t answer if you are busy. What’s the problem?

Phone calls. Texting requires focus, typing etc - it feels like work. Talking is more fun, more immediate, and I can do things like drive, wash the dishes, fold laundry, grocery shop etc while chatting.

I refuse to have a conversation over text. I type all day for work. I don't want to do it for "fun" also. But I like to set a time to talk, so I can be ready.
