I thought 4pm. Anybody planning to drop out at 3:59PM?
I’d love to hear the story behind that withdraw.
We withdrew. We weren't allowed to take honors or AP next school year so it became abundantly clear that the plan for my child was to finish in the bottom half of the class. It was pointless for us to pay for private school to end up with no better matriculation options than a good public school. The extra month would have been welcome because the decision felt rushed.

Coordinating the application and decision calendar helps families. Schools are not required to follow the AISGW guidelines, but most if not all do, most of the time. Last year a couple schools actually had different dates for notification, probably because of how spring break fell on the calendar.
If you’d really like to have to make a decision when school A demands a deposit 3 weeks before school B notifies of decisions and your preferred school C wants a signed contract and full-tuition due date just a week later, good luck with that insanity.

Complain all you want. You will stay.
With the elimination of large chunks of federal work force, there are several slots popping up in private schools after the admission cycle.
