That's not entirely true. For example, we went to some Metro tryout prep "camps" and most of the Metro Travel team for our age group was there. That was definitely not an invite-only clinic. We didn't know at the time who they were, but then we saw them later at our first tournament. On the other hand, we went to some Moco "camps" and we didn't see their most skillful players. I would not generalize one way or the other.
