It's been a chilly April. Things will pick up when it gets warmer.

There have been 672 months since January 1970. One quarter of those were winter months and much colder than this April

All of them had more homicides

Anyway, I had a great day yesterday. Went to the Kinetic Sculpture race kickoff in Federal Hill, then hit Flower Mart, followed by a movie at the Senator and dinner at Belvedere Square

The quality of life in Baltimore is spectacular, particularly compared to the cost of living

True. I had drinks and dinner tonight at our club and it was delightful. Absolutely beautiful night. Tomorrow,
I'll take an exercise class while my kids volunteer at their private school and my husband plays golf. Everything is good in the hood.

They got rid of juvenile detention so the kids who break the law just get a slap on the wrist and maybe an ankle monitor (which is useless).

You mean - this is what happens when people keep electing democrats. Republicans support Law & Order - not Democrats. Sorry - but your comment is either intentionally misleading or ignorant of which party clearly supports law enforcement.

I grew up in the projects in Brooklyn. I find bmore unsafe. Maybe you just were used to it when you lived there years ago.

I used to work in Baltimore from 1999-2003, took MARC train to Camden and walked to my office near the Inner Harbor often via the raised walkway around the convention center. In the morning you easily saw several homeless people because they would sleep up there.

One of my coworkers got shot on Charles Street when he was going to Starbucks.

It was rough then. Like really rough. Now it’s much better. So this has to be a troll.

You meant Democrats, don't you?

Yes, we have a problem with wild young black youths, which is the same in DC and Philadelphia and other places with large urban poorer black populations. Nothing will be done. Just accept it.

Just move into a wealthy suburb and forget about the it, like the rest of us.

Yes, I meant Democrats (must caffeinate before posting).

Even a wealthy suburb won’t completely solve the issue unless it’s somewhere inaccessible by public transportation.

The one thing Baltimore has going for it is terrible public transportation.

How do we eliminate it entirely?

When I see people lying on the ground, I always stop and ask if they are homeless or not. /s
