A few Bs in AP and H classes or mostly Bs with not as much rigor. A top student with several Bs can get in some great holistic schools if everything else is stellar. But if you want a generally good school for students below the top 20% of their class gpa with more average ECs etc I would look at Loyola MD, Delaware, USD, Loyola Marymount, JMU. Lots of range here though.

+1 and +1 for the "Awesomely Average" group on Facebook. One of my kids was an A/B student (very inconsistent grades due to ADHD) and applied to a bunch of "colleges for B students" but the list was highly focused on rural/small town LACs that have excellent environmental science programs.

There are an abundance of colleges - most of them - that are happy to admit B students. You need to curate a list based on what the student is really looking for. A business student who wants an urban campus would have a completely different list than DD (VCU, Temple, Drexel, St. Joe's come to mind).

If PP wants remotely useful suggestions, they should post more info the unweighted GPA, test scores, how many APs, major, and any other known preferences.

You need to look at your own school's data because grades do not correlate school to school.

Syracuse (not Newhouse), Delaware, JMU, Scranton, Loyola Maryland, St. Joe's Philadelphia, Indiana (not Kelley), SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Geneseo, Dayton, Elon, Marquette. However, I'm thinking of a B student with above a 90 weighted GPA/ 3.5 or above, with very few C's on the transcript.
