Kids at this age are still in the earliest stage of development so they likely are not even into toys yet.

But they will be soon!
I think a popular children’s book would be a great gift - preferably one constructed w/cardboard vs. paper. (Some babies/toddlers love to eat ➕ rip paper books!!)
Even better a cloth book - - one that has sensory options such as those that make those crinkling sounds or has a little button that when pushed, makes a little horn sound.

books - board books or picture books for later, especially if they are ones you love/loved when you were a kid. If they are beach/pool people, baby sunscreen, hat, pool towel. a gift card for wherever they buy diapers.

I love to give swimsuits to baby girls who are born ahead of summer. That’s not usually something parents have bought ahead of time. If you get one in 3-6 months and one in 6-9 months, one of them will fit her this summer. You could also get her a sun hat.
