It depends what they do. For instance if they do extra you should tip.

I did not pay for connecting electric oven and I could not take off work and was working late adn I had two young kids at home too. I was going to do it when I got home from work. Orignally going to be a Saturday Delivery but got changed. My wife got guys water bottles as hot out. Then she said I cant make dinner without oven connected. Guy goes too late for me to charge you or put it in the system. But me personally could do it if you are ok with that with no receipt. He did and of course you tip. My wife tipped them both pretty good and actually less that install cost.

My own daughter got a wayfair deliverly and guys had to haul it up stairs wheile doubled parked on a street in DC with that stupid Bike Lane was a big pain in butt as she has a big lobby and two sets of stairs. Even she at 22 tipped.

But my plumber charging a fortune who works for himself NO

If they are on time (or at least communicate), don’t damage my house and do a good job, yes.

I had a new stove and dishwasher delivered and installed recently. I tipped both.

I mean, I’ve generally already paid $100+ for delivery. I usually do feel bad and tip but I don’t think it’s needed.

I usually hand it to one and say “for both/all of you.”

I also offer water/bathroom.

Worth noting I recently had two counter guys who seemed unbelievably grateful for some snacks and drinks they could take on the road. I think they work really long days, with back-to-back orders, so don’t always have time to stop.

This is what we do too.

I don't love compulsory tipping, but I do typically tip appliance deliverers, especially when they have to bring the item up stairs.

Nope. Tipping culture is out of control.
