Our school says we follow mcps but in reality we follow about 95% of the time.
Nothing has been announced yet for today either way.

No word from our school. I think I’ll pull my kids early if school doesn’t close early. My kids walk to and from the metro, and I don’t want them out in the middle of a storm.

This is what ours did too. I think they feel a lot of pressure to stay open, as a selling point v. public, and I wish they'd ease up on that. Sending kids for 3 hours is not worth the squeeze, imo, and deciding in the morning or midday just makes my workday harder. Just close or go remote.

DC’s school sent an email giving a heads-up that an early closure may happen and they would make a determination as soon as possible. They don’t follow a particular school system; they make their own determinations as needed.

You can pick up your kid whenever you like but at least now they won’t be penalized if they were to have missed their track me or baseball game, etc.

SJC follows MoCo, which has early dismissal, but announced that Monday will be a regular schedule and any changes will be made by 9:30am.
