This is not true, they actually gave unscheduled telework for the entire week after the snowstorm.
I'm the PP at a site outside the Beltway (but still in the same weather paths), we were closed Monday only. If we're open, we never get an unscheduled telework option. I'm pretty depressed at how much annual leave I'm burning just for weather this winter. Looks like I will have to tomorrow as well due to school letting out at 12:30.

That was probably more a function of many commuter busses not running than any generosity in their heart.
