Sure it’s a 20 minute drive, but why go to Montgomery Mall or the AMC there when it is objectively a much nicer experience just over the bridge in Tysons? Why go to a grocery store that doesn’t sell wine, is understocked and stuck in the 80s like the Old Georgetown Rd Giant when I can be at the Tysons Wegman’s in 15-20 minutes and not have to go to a liquor store to buy Chardonnay.
Maryland politicians realize people in Maryland drive cars and that the richest people in Montgomery County live 10-20 minutes away from Tysons, right?
This is comical, because right next to that Giant that is "stuck in the 80s" is a store that you can buy your Chardonnay in about a 20 second walk, but you'd rather drive 20 minutes to VA?
I call troll

I am the opposite. I am happy when I enter Virginia because the traffic congestions on the MD side drives drives me nuts! And honestly, I don't see what is so confusing to you. Take the local lanes if it's so hard. I-270 in MD has local lanes also, except free do not save any time. Are those confusing to you?

Check out the olney Safeway.
Also you might want to reevaluate your life if you can’t go to a grocery store and not buy alcohol.

You all are weird. I never pay attention to anything about cars in the parking lots. I can't imagine anything more dreadful than walking around a parking lot and taking note of license plates.
