Coconut water is nasty. They make Gatorade no sugar. It's called Zero.

I also hate the taste of coconut water, but am fine with Gatorade, but even I had to cut the Gatorade with water. 50/50. I also don't tolerate any type of sugar substitute, so Gatorade Zero wasn't an option.

I think it all boils down to having something that you can tolerate taste-wise but also provides electrolytes so that you don't dehydrate.

If you have kids, just check yourself into a hotel by the hospital the day before.

Why if you have kids?? DH did this but I don't think it will be necessary for me. We have teenagers?

My prep was silent on vaseline and we use it. Of course we shower in the morning after the shitstorm has mostly passed.

Another recommendation for Sutab. The Suprep made me vomit and I had to cancel the procedure.

I did miralax with crystal lite lemonade. I tried the pills before and hated them. There were so many (don’t remember the exact amount but somewhere in the range of 25). They are big and chalky, and I started gagging while trying to swallow them. I found the MiraLAX to be much easier. Also, you can eat gummy bears on prep day. Just not the red ones.

Do a search for Mayim Bialik's post about her experience - she went into detail about what she ate/drank and how the procedure went. Very thorough.

My instructions said no vaseline, etc. Hard to get off and could cause problems for wand, I believe.

I did low residue diet for 3 days leading up to prep day. My actual prep was 4 tablets of Dulculax, then an hour later start the Miralax mixed with 64 oz Gatorade--I mixed 32 oz of G with 32 oz of water which made it so easy. 1/2 of mixture first, then around 10 pm for 8 am colonoscopy the 2nd 1/2.

I put it off because of the prep, which turned out to be very easy.

This. Low residue diet the last few days you eat. If you don’t have a bidet, baby wipes and Vaseline can help. Don’t worry; most people are apprehensive and then discover the prep is much less of a big deal than they’d anticipated.

Anonymous wrote:Is your doctor suggesting all the meds be OTC? I had a very easy process with the Rx called ClenPiq. No need for "extra vaseline" as you referred to up thread.

ClenPiq made me projectile vomit. I’m not doing it again without Zofran.

I didn’t have any problems with the OTC liquid prep routine.
