After a few years of trying various “mom suit” solutions (skirt, shorts, very modest low leg, etc) I decided that most women just look better in a normal swimsuit that is comfortable and cute instead of trying to hide. It also helps that I got into lap swimming and am much more confident walking around in public in a swim suit.

Op here. Not a 14 (I was once a 14/16 when I weighed 263lbs a few years ago )
I’m similar in shape to these ladies. Typically I am a 4-6. Size 26 in jeans.

This sounds more like it. I am a 34DDD and 5'7" 135 and I couldn't even fit one boob into a 4. I usually have to get XL in swim tops.
I think OP has an extremely short torso and most of her weight is in her thighs and arms, so she wears a smaller suit than you would think.

Jumped around after a scoop and swoop and my bust stayed contained. I am a busty, small abdomen, weight inside my thighs shape at 5’3, 145-148 and fit their 4. There’s ruching and a very stretchy middle on this suit.

I also own and like this suit - it’s simple, has clean lines and I can swim and play on the beach in it. But re: sizing, I’m 5’4” and 130 lbs and wear an 8 in it. I’m average build in every way- bust, rear, etc. I carry my extra weight in my middle.
Yeah, I was confused about sizing here. I'm 5'7" and 155 lbs and am considering this suit, and would order a 10 at the smallest ...
PP here who is 5’4” and 130 lbs - I just checked and I actually own the suit in a 10 and it fits fine, I definitely could not go down more than one size.
