The people who care went to the tryouts and found out first hand. Why is their an urgency to post after tryouts if teams are already formed. VDA doesnt change their coaches like these other programs, so it is very predictable.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Yes they do. They communicated it at tryouts. VDA has no coach slate for 2026
Are they trying to hide something? Why not just post publicly.
Alrington & FVU posted their coaches before the tryout. Why is VDA special?

This says more about the quality of the kid than the coach. Coaches don’t matter if your kid is good. They are all dud coaches man….wake up.
I agree that a coach doesn’t necessarily make a kid a good player, but they can certainly do damage in terms of making a kid feel frustrated and demoralized. If you can find out a way to avoid that ahead of time you can save your kid a lot of heartache.
And how would you find that out definitively? Many of you think you can tell the future. If we are talking about top teams (MLSN 1 or ECNL/GA) and you say no to an offer cause you don’t know the coach, you aren’t serious. The rest of the teams it might matter more cause it’s more for fun.
This is.....not logical.

1st team too. crazy.
We're on our third coach of the year on a first team (RL level).
Herndon?
No, but my condolences if that happened there too. It feels like a real bait and switch.
