This is the least of this family's issues. Funny how this works -- things are beyond financially unhealthy for years, and then it comes to a head over some tiny thing like $50 gifts for kids.
Curious what is unhealthy.

If you give your sibling $55k a year and want them to send more for your kids, please just tell them that they should do that with the money you provided. Be clear about it.
