Ugg. No thank you Once every few months is plenty. My 9 year old is a whiny, cranky mess the day after due to lack of sleep.

I have 4 kids. My eldest is 12 and is not having as many as she used to between 9-11. Now she has maybe 1 per month and often because of birthday party.
My middle is 10 and has sleepovers every week. Some are birthday parties, some are with her best friend and some are with other friends. Sometimes she has 2 per week. It might be too much, but she does fine and loves them.

+1 My kids are 17 now but I’m glad they got to experience both. Great childhood memories for them that they still talk about today.

I have boys and I think they generally have less sleepovers.My 10 y.o. has been to 2 and we have hosted one. It usually takes him like 48 hours to recover sleep-wise. He really needs the sleep so it's just not worth doing them any more frequently.

Is he scared to attend sleepovers because they might found? He won't be the only one and if he the kids don't care, My daughter wishes she started sleepaway camp earlier, didn't wan t anyone to find out, she later found out no one cares and it was no big deal.

I was born in 1984, so I’m an older millennial. My daughter goes to sleepovers, but she skipped a few because of bedwetting—she didn’t want anyone to know she wore pull-ups at night. Honestly, it’s always been about trusting the other parents and the kids. I get that some parents might have concerns, but for us, that’s never been a problem.
