House slippers. I started wearing those soft foam-ish type ones about a year ago and now I’m totally addicted.

We’re a no-shoe household and I used to just go barefoot. But these slippers are so comfortable!

Wear slippers. Your floor is too cool looking to cover with a rug!

I've never had a rug in any of my bathrooms and nobody has ever fallen on their ass.

And how cold would your house have to be that you need to wear slippers in the bathroom lol

I have a small slatted mat made out of teak just to step on. It doesn’t absorb anything but it’s better than stepping on tile and it looks good. Similarly tiny bathroom.

I don't do rugs in bathrooms. We wear slippers. We do have small bath mats for getting out of the shower.

Chilewich sells mats (in addition to placemats) in a variety of materials. The floor mats are very thin and have a vinyl backing. Not cheap but I think you can also customize the size.

Is the bottom of your vanity solid to the floor? I have 2 bathrooms identical to that photo and we have the mats partially pushed under the vanity. I pull it out when I need to stand to blow out my hair.

Alternatively, could you get ready elsewhere? A vanity table in a bedroom may be more comfortable than a cramped bathroom (and I frequently end up dropping things in the sink).

Hey! I'm European! (Although what's on the side of our tub is specifically a tub mat, not a towel -- it's got a denser weave than out towels)

How big is the vanity? That pic looks like 30". You can definitely find a rug of that size.

If it's the issue of the door being too close to the floor, then as PP said have the bottom of the door sanded will solve your problem right away.

I also have a tight bathroom. I randomly found these Ruggable type rugs at TJMaxx that had nice colors/designs and are very thin and surprisingly soft (polyester). I use a nonskid liner under them. You can get a rubber one that's extremely thin (like drawer liners) or if there's enough door clearance you can do a regular rug pad. They came in all sizes at the store.

Or just go to Ruggable.

We had this problem in our kids’ bathroom in our old house in DC. I just put the rug down for bath time and hung it up after.

Do as we do in most European countries: Get thin towel to lay on the floor, hang up on side of tub after bathing.
