Me too!! I’ve been feeling out of sorts and unsettled/not peaceful lately. Partly it’s because my son is graduating and heading to college, and I know I’ll miss him so much. His schoolwork is winding down now, so the daily routine isn’t the same anymore, and I really miss the routine of him and his younger brother walking to and from school together.
Part of my uneasiness also has to do with my work and office, which are going through a major restructuring in response to budget cuts and the overall unfriendly global climate. I know it’s not possible to go back to the “same old, same old,” where I put in the time, do well, and am rewarded. Now it feels like I need to over‑deliver on every front just to make sure I can survive. I’m also keenly aware of my age, and of my parents’ age, and I worry about how quickly and unforgivingly time is passing. So, OP, I hear you. I’m glad to have this community to share these thoughts.

I too have been out of sorts for the last couple of days. Mostly just uncontrollably sad about a traumatic event that happened to me decades ago that bubbles up from time to time. I thought maybe somehow it was triggered by learning about what happened on 495 on Sunday, or the war starting, even though my traumatic event was completely unrelated to either and the last year has basically been one bad thing after another in the news. Maybe it is the mercury thing?
Some big things have gone really well for me personally since about December. Good job situation (for now) and oldest kid got into dream college at affordable price, I’m working on a fun project at home, good things to look forward to but I still feel a pall cast over everything.

Yes I agree, the world is in crisis mode now and our country is part of that in small part thanks to our Commander-in-Chief.
The best thing you can do on that front is skip or at the very least - - minimize your exposure to current events.

As for the personal stuff OP, if you can try to distract yourself from this as well.

Maybe go for a solo bike ride, invite a good friend to lunch ➕ a movie or just immerse yourself in a relaxing massage somewhere.. the distraction will be good for your emotional health even if done in small doses.

I, too, have had some employees acting flat out BONKERS since the end of last week.

I walked out to my admins desk this afternoon, and was like on earth is going on? She said with a straight face “mercury is in retrograde”

I don’t believe in any of this, but the level of crazy is off the charts. If things continue like this I may have to reevaluate my feelings about astrology!

I think some people use it as an excuse to act crazy.
