I dated a Canadian and work with some.

They tend to be less loud and more reserved. They are not as status conscious (except the really wealthy Asian ones who wear labels all the time). They have different accents and words - "roundabout" and say "Eh" more.

DP. They bring a cc reader to your table and you insert your card yourself.

To add to this, I don’t see much visual difference but they say certain things differently… washroom for bathroom/restroom, they refer to the us as “the states” and they loves saying No worries!

Shoes are a dead giveaway. Not just in Canada but everywhere, even here at home. When you look at the shoes and then the outfit it’s pretty easy to tell who is visiting and who is local.

Go people watch at the National Mall. You’ll pick up on it quickly.
