Isn't this the very sOcIaLiSm the right was screaming about during the 2024 campaign and election season?

So, I want guardrails for all AI but is it feasible to keep them on while our adversaries don’t use them? How does it work?

Yes.

No. It's commercial (the differeences between commerical and government contracting are huge) and ethical - bright lies htey won't cross.

Yes.

Claude right now isn’t as good as some, but I am using it exclusively. The more it gets used the better training (one hopes).

Is there a single Claude? If not, you’re not necessarily training the one the government uses.

Claude’s coding capabilities are amazing.

Would be something if the company just shut itself down then.

My main questions in the subject have been ignored. Plenty of companies doing federal work use Antnropic’s Claude AI. If the government forces Anthropic to take off the guard rails and gets blacksted, how many other companies will be impacted?

Any company using Claude AI would have to pivot to some other tech. Particularly those that build on top of or rely on Claude AI.
So, the government (not just DOD) would have to renegotiate contracts to have contractors move away from Claude, right?

Yes.

Yes to both questions?
