Also, I think she is ok just to go to their practices without acquiring her player card. Also, your Team Manager can get a copy of her player card. But yes, if you decide to switch before the season is over, you may need to force a player card switch.

You guys are lucky. The spring season has been completely ruined for u14 and under in VA.

We were not given the choice either. It should be a choice or an explanation of their decision based on your child’s development, not their club/team needs.
There will be no shortage of kids and parents dying to get our spot when we leave so the club really won’t care.

If your DD is a top player on her current team, she wouldn't be moved down. So the questions is, is she really a top player?

What age group and team level? There's not many hat tricks happening in age groups where age and level of competition actually matter (U14+ ECNL/GA). If your DD is younger than U13 or playing RL, GA 2, NCSL, do her a favor and go to the appropriate age group team. If she's scoring hat tricks regularly she shouldn't have a problem getting a spot with the younger age group. It will only benefit her in the long run.

Anonymous wrote:Based on the way practices have been run this winter at our ECNL club (which teams/players practice where), I am definitely sensing that high-demand clubs are going to try to get more kids in the door rather than stress over proper placement this year. Presumably in year two they will adjust for proper team placement.
